Air Associates of MO at Spirit of St. Louis Airport
Founder of Sporty's Pilot Shop, Hal Shevers, visited Air Associates of MO at Spirit of St. Louis Airport in Chesterfield today for a special meet and greet luncheon with area pilots. His Cessna S550 Citation landed about 10:50am this morning across from the Air Associates hangar.

Mr. Shevers talked informally to pilots and aviation enthusiasts gathered in the Air Associates hangar, relating how he began what is now Sporty's Pilot Shop fifty years ago to the current enterprise, which also includes Sporty's Academy Flight School, Sporty's Eastern Cincinnati Aviation FBO, Sporty's Cincinnati Avionics, Sporty's Cessna Sales, Sandy's Airpark at Sporty's, and Sporty's Courses under the Sporty's Flight Center banner. Charlie Masters from Eastern Cincinnati Aviation, Inc. spoke briefly about his transition from school teaching to aircraft sales. He also took special interest in the new Cessna Skycatcher on the Air Associates ramp. Members of Mr. Shever's crew, Eric Radtke and Bret Koebbe, discussed the Sporty's Academy Flight School modular approach to flight training and the IPAD platform for approach charts and sectionals for flight planning. Sporty's cutting-edge Complete Private Pilot Training Course and SP-400 Nav/Com radio are Aviation Consumer "Gear of the Year."
