Youth Gateway to Aviation Event Will Be Held at Parks College Center for Aviation Science

The Center for Aviation Science is located at the St. Louis Downtown Airport, located at 4300 Vector Drive, Cahokia, Illinois, 62206 and can be reached at (314) 977-9569. Further details will be sent in an email registration confirmation along with maps and driving directions.

Gateway to Aviation is an interactive event to introduce youth of all ages to the exciting world of aviation. The purpose of this event is to foster youth aviation education. The event is scheduled for Fall 2011 and is being held at the St. Louis Downtown Airport in Cahokia, Illinois. The Boeing Company, EAA, Young Eagles, Gateway Eagles, the Saint Louis Science Center as well as many other aviation companies are participating as partners---providing interactive activities, discovery flights and more. This event is free to attendees.

Who Should Attend:
This free event is for children of all ages and their parents/guardians. This is designed to foster youth aviation education through hands-on interactions and experiences. As this event is at a fully functioning airport and will have working aircraft, we ask that all children be supervised by at least one adult at all times.

About the Host:
Parks College, the oldest federally approved aviation school, is coordinating this event. Combining Parks College’s history and Saint Louis University’s Jesuit mission of educating the whole person, SLU is showcasing local aviation companies while inspiring young minds through this interactive experience.
