Greetings from The Aero Experience Team

The Aero Experience is a celebration of Midwest aviation and aerospace achievement. We invite you to join us as we explore the treasures of Midwest aviation through first-hand experiences. Our contributors take turns flying lead, and we are always looking for new destinations. Check in with The Aero Experience frequently to see where we will land today, and then go out and have your own aero experiences!

MO Aviation Historical Society Meeting December 8 Recalls Attack on Pearl Harbor

Missouri Aviation Historical Society

The Missouri Aviation Historical Society is a group of folks with a love of aircraft, and we are striving to record and document the rich aviation history that has been a part of the great state of Missouri for the past century. From Benoist to Zenith, the aviation industry in the "Show Me" state has always been at the forefront of technology, and has produced some of the world’s best known aircraft. Famous pilots, from Jimmy Doolittle, to Slim Lindbergh, all called Missouri home for a portion of their lives, and made significant contributions to the advancement of aviation. We meet monthly in Clayton, MO, at 190 Carondelet Plaza, Suite 600, St. Louis, MO 63105.

Our next gathering will be on Thur, Dec 08th at 7 PM. Due to unforeseen circumstances, Larry Corbin, our guest speaker for this Thursday's meeting, will be unable to attend and give his presentation on the 70th anniversary of the Civil Air Patrol.

As it is also the 70th year since the attack on Pearl Harbor, we plan to show a couple of dvd's, possibly John Ford's documentary of the attack, made during the war, and also an excellent documentary of how the movie "Tora Tora Tora" was filmed in 1969. We will reschedule Larry's presentation for a future meeting.  Admission is free, refreshments will be served.

For directions, please see below, and if you have any questions, please contact Dan O’Hara at 573-529-2539 or email Hope to see you there!
