Greetings from The Aero Experience Team

Greetings!

The Aero Experience is a celebration of Midwest aviation and aerospace achievement. We invite you to join us as we explore the treasures of Midwest aviation through first-hand experiences. Our contributors take turns flying lead, and we are always looking for new destinations. Check in with The Aero Experience frequently to see where we will land today, and then go out and have your own aero experiences!

Blue skies,

Carmelo Turdo, Mark Nankivil, Fred Harl and Leo Cachat - The Aero Experience Team

St. Louis Science Center Event This Week: The Immersive Virtual Reality Environment: Today's Holodeck?

A VIRTUAL REALITY ENVIRONMENT PRESENTATION BY RACHAEL BRADY, FOUNDER OF DiVE (DUKE IMMERSIVE VIRTUAL ENVIRONMENT)

WHAT
The Immersive Virtual Reality Environment: Today's Holodeck?
The holodeck is everyone's favorite futuristic technology. Like magic, it creates artificial worlds that seem real even though they are in an empty room. Rachael Brady, the founder of the DiVE (Duke immersive Virtual Environment) will talk about virtual reality past and present. She will reveal exciting new advances in 3D virtual reality and immersive environments and discuss how close we have come to realizing the Holodeck. Ms. Brady is the founder and director of the DiVE, a six-sided CAVE-like VR environment.
Before the lecture, the general public can explore the Star Trek: The Exhibition for a discounted rate.
