Greater St. Louis Air & Space Museum and Gateway Eagles Team Up to Inspire Youth to Pursue Math & Science Through Aviation

The Greater St. Louis Air & Space Museum teamed up with Gateway Eagles of St. Louis to provide a flight experience for about 100 children and teens this weekend.  The Gateway Eagles, an organization that serves the minority community of St. Louis to encourage the pursuit of careers in aviation and related fields, assembled at the museum's historic Curtiss-Wright Hangar 2 at St. Louis Downtown Airport and managed the flight operations with professionalism and efficiency.  Various aircraft were used to fly the youth, including Cessna 172s, a Piper Cherokee and A V35B Bonanza that flew in from the Tuskegee Institute in Alabama.  Between flights, guests toured the museum.  Here are some scenes from this highly successful event:
