Tail Art - Nose Art in Reverse

Tail Art - nose art in reverse, or at least on the opposite part of the plane than expected - is the topic of today's photo essay.  Tail art acts in a similar way as nose art in that it depicts an image representing the individual or corporate identity and sometimes just a name or dedication.  Also included are tail codes that incorporate unique adaptations of other known logos.  Here are some interesting examples of tail art from events over the last few years:
