Sightings: T-6B Texan IIs Make Stop in St. Louis Area

This weekend brought some visitors to the St. Louis area - four T-6B Texan II training aircraft from TAW-5, Whiting Field, Florida. The wing is undergoing transition from the T-34C Mentor to the T-6B, and new instructors were being trained during this weekend's mission. The aircraft were briefly accompanied by Greg Vallero in his AT-6F Texan as they taxied in to the Ideal Aviation ramp on the west end of St. Louis Downtown Airport and parked in front of the Greater St. Louis Air & Space Museum. Here are some views of the Texans, along with some other interesting aircraft on the ramp this afternoon:
