EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2012 Reprise: Amphibians on Land

Almost any type of aircraft can be seen at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh, and few are as versatile as amphibians - those that can fly to and from land and water.  Fixed-wing amphibians are often called seaplanes, including hulled flying boats and floatplanes - conventional aircraft fitted with external floats.  There is an opportunity to immerse yourself in amphibious operations at the Seaplane Base along nearby Lake Winnebago, and there are often more amphibious aircraft that make it to Wittman Regional Airport where the rest of the aircraft congregate.  Here is a look back on a variety of amphibians that made it to dry land:
