Fall Storm Front Produces Planes at the End of the Rainbow

Finding a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow has always been an intriguing proposition, and the opportunity to follow that dream came around again this afternoon as a storm front moved through the St. Louis and southwestern Illinois area.  A flood of light came pouring over the ramp at St. Louis Downtown Airport, while the rest of the area was enveloped by dark clouds and drizzle.  Within minutes, two strong rainbows appeared, seemingly coming to rest over the distant hangars and the aircraft parked on the ramp.  Although I did not find the pot of gold, I did find some beautiful aircraft that will do very well for now:
