North American Aviation produced two aircraft in succession that trained military aviators in all flying services from the 1930s to the 1960s - the AT-6/SNJ Texan and the T-28 Trojan series. The aircraft were also used for forward air control missions in Korea and counterinsurgency operations in Vietnam, respectively. They are the most recognizable radial-engine trainers of the era, and The Aero Experience would like to share our views of these aircraft from EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2013.
