Haunted Hangar Provides Spirited Family Fun at Air Associates of Missouri

By Carmelo Turdo
Air Associates of Missouri, the premier St. Louis area Cessna Pilot Center, provided some spirited fun today during the annual Haunted Hangar open house event at their Spirit of St. Louis Airport facility.  The main hangar was decorated for Halloween and fun activities were ready for the arrival of guests at noon.  The friendly Air Associates of Missouri staff were on hand throughout the hangar and ramp to serve up lunch and candy with some encouraging words to anyone interested in pursuing the dream of flight.  Several of the training aircraft were on display, and the Redbird MCX full-motion simulator was available for those interested in taking a "flight" in this advanced training device.  This year's event was very well attended, and several visitors inquired about becoming student pilots.

The Aero Experience was there to celebrate the coming of autumn and most of all to visit with our sponsor and the guests steadily streaming in during the event.  Here are some captured moments from today's Haunted Hangar:

It was also great to be there to witness a Discovery flight that Andrew (in orange shirt) and Erin James took with Chief Flight Instructor Scott Thompson in a Cessna 172.  Andrew expressed interest in pursuing flight training with Air Associates of Missouri.
