American Waco Club Flies Out to Aero Estates Airport in Nearby Belleville, IL (Part 3)

By Carmelo Turdo
The Aero Experience coverage of the American Waco Club Fly-In last weekend concludes with another look at the aircraft that flew to nearby Aero Estates Airport in Belleville, IL on Saturday.  Early arrivals landed about 8am and gathered around our host, Mark Harter, to catch up with friends over donuts and beverages.  The visiting Waco, Stearman and other aircraft were parked on display around the picturesque lawn during breakfast, and then it was time for takeoff for the flights back to Creve Coeur Airport in St. Louis County for the rest of the Fly-In activities.  Following the departure of the American Waco Club members and other visiting pilots, The Aero Experience visited with our friend Ken Kellogg and the former members of the now dissolved Scott Aero Club for their annual reunion.  We thank Mark and Ken for inviting us to celebrate Midwest Aviation with them again this year.
