EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2015: Airshow Performers - Airbus A350-900

The EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2015 airshow schedule included a great variety of performers, including the Airbus A350-900.  It arrived on Monday during the afternoon airshow and showed off it's slow-speed maneuverability within full view of the audience.  It was on display in Boeing Plaza through Wednesday prior to another airshow performance and departure.  

 

During the time it was on display in Boeing Plaza, thousands of people toured the A350.  This new Airbus jetliner (serial no. 2) is on a promotional tour of the U.S. and has already been ordered by United and Delta Airlines.  The A350 touts advanced technology in construction, aerodynamics, fuel consumption and flight controls.  The "extra wide body" designation is used to describe the 221-inch cross-section of the passenger cabin, which includes a more effective air management system and lower noise levels.  The 219-feet long airliner can carry 325 passengers on flights over 7,500 miles.
