American Waco Club Makes Annual Visit to Neighboring Aero Estates Airport During St. Louis Fly-In

By Mark Nankivil
The Annual American Waco Club Fly In was held last weekend at Creve Coeur Airport in St. Louis.  It has become a tradition for the Waco pilots and those with other vintage aircraft types to fly out to nearby Aero Estates Airport in Belleville, IL for breakfast hosted by local Waco owners, Mark and Elaine Harter.  Along with the open cockpit and cabin Wacos, a variety of Stearman, Aeroncas, Pipers and other vintage aircraft landed on the grass runway and taxied up to park along the lake.  The Aero Experience was there again this year to capture these images of the Aero Estates breakfast gathering.  Thanks to the Harters and the visiting pilots for their hospitality!
