Visiting Potosi Washington County Missouri Airport

The Aero Experience continues out tour of Midwest Airports by visiting Potosi, MO Washington County Airport last weekend. We found an interesting aircraft on the apron - Bruce and Christine Bogue's 1967 Alon A2 Aircoupe - cousin of the famous Ercoupe family of aircraft. This later development of the 1940s design included a sliding canopy, spring steel landing gear, and addition of rudder control with foot pedals rather than through the original aileron/rudder combined system. Alon Inc. was formed by former Beechcraft executives to produce the updated Aircoupe A2 model. It was also great to see our friend Marvin Pitney flying in his Cessna 172N.
