EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2016: General Aviation - Cessna Joins Textron

http://www.airassociatesmo.com/tae/One of the great names in general aviation, Cessna Aircraft, became part of Textron Aviation in 1992.  The acquisition was a boon for Textron's business jet aspirations, and the Citation series continues to enjoy production success.  Textron leads in general aviation production, and the 172 Skyhawk series is among the top selling general aviation aircraft with about 150 units sold annually in recent years.  New aircraft prices have climbed significantly, and the pre-owned market is where many of the piston aircraft are purchased.
