EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2016: Warbirds - Radial Heavyweights

http://www.airassociatesinc.com/The Aero Experience continues our year-round coverage of EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2016, sponsored by Air Associates, with a look at radial-engine heavyweight fighters - Chance Vought Corsair and Republic P-47 Thunderbolt.  These classic fighters provided air cover and close air support in the European and Pacific Theaters, and their unique shapes became symbols of the Allied victory.

The Corsairs featured her include Goodyear made FG-1D Corsair 489 from Houston, TX; FG-1D Corsair, Marine's Dream, from Mount Pleaseant, TX; Chance Vought F-4U-4 Corsair 205 from Tulsa, OK; and Jim Tobul's F-4U-4 416 from South Carolina.  The P-47D Thunderbolt, Balls Out, is from Lewis Air Legends in San Antonio, TX.
