Santa Visits with Children After Landing at Transportation Museum

By Mark Nankivil and Carmelo Turdo
Santa Claus made an appearance at the National Museum of Transportation in St. Louis, landing in a helicopter on the grass near the Orthwein Education and Visitors Center. Santa, Mrs. Claus and an elf flew to the grounds in a Bell Jet  Ranger, provided by Fostaire Helicopters, for this stop on their pre-Christmas Midwest tour while the reindeer are still in training at the North Pole. After landing, the jolly trio greeted the children and their families as they waited in line for a personal visit in the Wabash Caboose. The children and their families gathered well before the 10am arrival, and seemed to enjoy meeting with Santa. He will be back at the museum next Saturday, and he will have some reindeer with him on the following Saturday, December 9.
