Heavy-Lift Sikorsky S-61 Makes Fuel Stop at Farmington Regional Airport

By Fred Harl
The Aero Experience continues with our rotary-wing aircraft theme this week with a look at a Sikorsky S-61N that made a fuel stop at Farmington, MO Regional Airport this summer. The civil Sea King, owned by Croman Corporation of White City, OR, is capable of sling-loading 10,000 pounds of cargo. Typical jobs for this aircraft include aerial firefighting, logging, HVAC unit replacement and utility line repair. This aircraft was configured for transporting support equipment in the main cabin for Construction Helicopters, Inc.
