In the Pattern at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport: Founders Plaza and First Arrivals

By Mark Nankivil and Fred Harl
The Aero Experience looks back on a recent visit to Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport with this series of posts featuring the variety of aircraft and airline liveries that may be seen on any given day. We begin with a look at the viewing area at Founders' Plaza, with several monuments representing the early development of the airport and those civic leaders who contributed to its later growth. From this vantage point, we photographed air traffic ranging from business jets to the giant Airbus A380.

We begin this series with a look at Founders' Plaza and a few aircraft on approach to land: a Bombardier Global Express, Cessna Citation and Swearingen Metroliner flying cargo for locally-based Ameriflight.
