The Aero Experience returns to our year-round coverage of EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2019, sponsored by Elite Aviation, with a salute to two airshow pilots retiring from the circuit this year: Matt Chapman and Julie Clark. Both of these performers are familiar names to airshow audiences, and they have become staples of the larger events throughout the country. Both fly or have flown for major airlines along with their airshow careers, and have set the standard for aerial entertainment in their respective styles. Julie Clark's T-34 Mentor, Free Spirit, will soon be displayed at the Hiller Aviation Museum in San Carlos, CA.
The Aero Experience has featured Matt Chapman and Julie Clark in our coverage of Midwest Aviation events over the years, and we thank them both for being among the best ambassadors for aviation. They have demonstrated not only their flying skills, but their humility and class to millions over nearly four decades. Thank you, and we dedicate this post to your day airshow performances at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2019!
