The Aero Experience continues our coverage of EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2019, sponsored by Elite Aviation, with this look at the Giles AkroTech G-200 and G-202 series of experimental, aerobatic aircraft. Owners of the G-200 and G-202 aircraft celebrated the 25th anniversary of the first flight of the series with an indoor exhibit, aircraft displays and airshow appearances throughout the week.
These aircraft were designed by Richard Giles as the first carbon-fiber single and two-seat aerobatic aircraft types. About ninety aircraft were produced before MX Aircraft purchased the aircraft production rights in 2001, and later developed the aircraft into later MXS and MX2 models. Here we include views from around the grounds and during the airshow fly-bys.
