EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2019: Experimental Aircraft - Introduction

The Aero Experience continues our coverage of EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2019, sponsored by Elite Aviation, with this survey of the Homebuilt Area. Here we feature the Homebuilders Headquarters and an overview of the types we saw around the grounds from the first weekend to the last day.  

EAA has it's roots in the development and promotion of experimental (i.e. homebuilt) aircraft. Even though EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2019 featured many types of aircraft, the experimental aircraft industry was well represented with exhibitors, aircraft construction forums and workshops that attracted many of the hundreds of thousands of visitors and participants. We will include more of the experimental aircraft types and exhibits in future posts.
