EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2019: Airshow Performers - USAF Heritage Flight, Part 5

The USAF Heritage Flight has been a favorite airshow attraction since its inception in 1997 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the founding of the U.S. Air Force. The Heritage Flight performance features several passes flown by current and past generations of U.S. Air Force and U.S. Army Air Forces (now civilian warbirds) aircraft. The Heritage Flight quickly became a standard feature of military and later civilian-based airshows, and the Air Force Heritage FlightFoundation was formed in 2010 to coordinate the recruitment and training of civilian pilots who fly the warbirds from the World War II, Korean War and Vietnam War eras in formation with the current USAF combat aircraft from the established Air Combat Command demo teams. The Heritage Flight includes the formation flying as well as solo passes by the participating aircraft.

The Aero Experience coverage of EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2019, sponsored by Elite Aviation, includes this series featuring various forms of the Heritage Flight from the daily airshows. Sunday’s Heritage Flight consisted of an A-10 Thunderbolt II, an F-22 Raptor and an F-35 Lightning II.
