The Aero Experience continues our coverage of EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2019, sponsored by Elite Aviation, with this look at liaison aircraft used from World War II to the Vietnam War era. These aircraft were on the lower end of the performance envelope, which suited their mission well. They were used for aerial observation and surveys, forward air control, personnel transport, flight proficiency, aerial targets and other support roles in and out of combat arenas.
