U.S. Navy Knighthawk Helicopter Makes Brief Stop in Farmington, MO

By Fred Harl
An MH-60S Knighthawk crew made a short stop at Farmington, MO Regional Airport Friday while on a cross country flight. The aircraft was from HSC-2 "Fleet Angels," a fleet replacement squadron based at NAS Norfolk, VA that trains new crews for operational service. The MH-60S mission is primarily anti-surface warfare, though the aircraft is also employed in fleet support roles such as resupply, medical evacuation and search and rescue. The "S" Knighthawk incorporates the updated "common glass cockpit" that allows crews to transition from the "R" model with minimal training.

Here we feature a quick walkaround and crew photo.
