Greater St. Louis Business Aviation Association Holds Quarterly Lunch and Exhibit Event

By Carmelo Turdo
The Greater St. Louis Business Aviation Association (GSLBAA) held their first quarterly luncheon and aviation expo of the year Friday. The event was the first in-person meeting in nearly 2 years and was hosted by Emerson Electric at Spirit of St. Louis Airport. In addition to the catered lunch, the program included informative presentations and exhibitors from local and regional aviation businesses who contribute greatly to the success of GSLBAA and its affiliated educational foundation. This new meeting format provides more opportunities to network and share project updates among members and other aviation industry organizations.

We begin our coverage with the arrival of the members and guests and the opening presentations preceding the lunch program.

Local and regional aviation organizations provided exhibits showcasing their products and services during the two-hour lunch meeting. Here is a survey of the exhibitors along with a group photo of the Parks College of St. Louis University Flight Science Students who are also members of the Parks College Chapter Women In Aviation International. Lunch was served prior to the keynote presentation.

The lunch presentation was provided by Byron Severson, Regional Sales Director for Dassault Falcon jets. The Falcon 7X parked in the hangar contributed to the theme of the talk, but the models he discussed were the new twin-jet Falcon 6X and 10X wide/ultra-wide business jets that sport large cabin living space, long range and fast cruising speed. Advances in avionics and flight control integration have resulted in the inclusion of fully automatic control trim, single throttle control and flight attitude recovery. Both models are expected to be certified in the next 3-5 years. For stunning renderings and more detailed information on these new Falcons, click on the links above.

Following the presentation, Byron Severson received a St. Louis aviation art print in appreciation from Jeremy Cox.

The Aero Experience thanks the Greater St. Louis Business Aviation Association and everyone involved in making this quarterly luncheon program a great success. Please consider supporting the GSLBAA Education Foundation and the other non-profits and businesses who provided exhibits at the event.
