St. Louis Area Flight Schools Continue to Thrive, Add CFIs and Fleet Aircraft

By Carmelo Turdo
St. Louis area flight schools continue to thrive in the current environment, with the supply of flight training rising to meet the demand for private and commercial pilots. Even in the best of circumstances, the path to a career in the cockpit takes 3-5 years of progressively advanced flying experience, so the success of each flight school depends in part on how well they serve their customers through each certification level. The quality of the instructors and fleet aircraft, along with a strong support system, are key aspects of a successful flight training program.

The Aero Experience is privileged to work with four area flight schools offering Light Sport through Commercial, CFI, Instrument and Multi-Engine flight training at three St. Louis-Metro East airports. Recent aircraft acquisitions have brought a Tecnam P2006T multi-engine trainer to Elite Aviation and two new aircraft will be added to the Piston Aviation fleet soon.

Here we feature a brief pictorial from our visits during the recent winter warm spell.
