STL Flight Training Welcomes First Two Evektor Harmony LSAs to Training Fleet

By Carmelo Turdo
STL Flight Training recently welcomed their first two new Evektor Harmony LSAs as part of a fleet upgrade program that will continue into next year. These aircraft will provide an enhanced learning environment with their modern panel displays and interior comfort while demonstrating a significant improvement in fleet reliability and efficiency over legacy types. They also come with some advanced features designed to enhance flight performance and safety of operation.

Both of these aircraft are the Harmony 912iS Sport model, equipped with the fuel-injected Rotax 912. Their dual control sticks, four-point harnesses and shaded cockpit canopy design are familiar features of light sport aircraft, and they are well integrated in the Evektor Harmony. Aerodynamic enhancements include leading edge vortex generators and electrically driven split flaps. A ballistic recovery system is included.

The Aero Experience visited STL Flight Training this week to take our first look at the Evektor Harmony. CFI Ben Niederer gave us a quick overview, pointing out some of the key features that make it a great trainer. These aircraft are equipped with an engine management system, a Garmin G3X Touch Flight Display with synthetic vision and Garmin G5 Electronic Flight Instrument, making the Evektor Harmony a solid instrument training aircraft as well. Here we include some views of the interior and a short video with CFI Niederer.

We will continue our coverage of the Evektor Harmony fleet in the coming weeks. Contact STL Flight Training to schedule your flight in these new, well-equipped training aircraft!
