EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2018: Helicopter Tour Flights Begin New Year of Coverage

By Fred Harl
The Aero Experience begins the new year with continuing coverage of EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2018 that will extend throughout the winter along with our regular Midwest Aviation media feature stories. For those who were there, we hope it brings back pleasant memories. If you were unable to attend in 2018, then we hope you enjoy this amazing aviation event through our extended coverage. Today's photo essay shows our view of the grounds from two flights in the Bell 47 helicopters that fly constantly all week. The flights begin and end at nearby Pioneer Airport and loop around the EAA Museum to Boeing Plaza and over the camp grounds before returning. The following series of photos gives just a glimpse of the 10,000+ aircraft and half a million people who enjoyed their visit to aviation wonderland.
