EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2018: See Planes at the Seaplane Base

While much of the Midwest is feeling the onset of winter, we will look back to warmer times with a visit to the Seaplane Base during EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2018. Located on Willow Harbor on nearby Lake Winnebago, the Seaplane Base attracts aircraft large and small that can land on floats or on their hulled fuselage (including the giant Martin Mars in 2016). Regular bus service runs from the main campus to the Seaplane Base, and various groups hold social events there throughout the week. Here we have some views of light aircraft operating off the lake.
