EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2019: Aviation In Missionary Service

The Aero Experience celebrates Thanksgiving week with a look at Aviation In Service to others in need around the world. Here we feature the exhibit of aviation service organizations at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2019, namely Mission Aviation Fellowship, along with the preferred turbine-powered aircraft, the Daher (Quest) Kodiak.

Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF) is an organization that serves isolated communities in underdeveloped areas of the world. Along with spreading the Christian Gospel, MAF provides for the basic human needs of the communities they serve in Africa, Asia and Latin America. One of their purpose-built service aircraft, the Quest Kodiak, was on display. The turboprop-powered Kodiak is known for its ability to fly a 3500lb. payload into remote areas. The aircraft design combines robust power, high-lift wing and modern avionics into one efficient airframe. Options include floats for water operations and underbelly cargo pod. The Quest Aircraft Company was recently acquired by Daher, assuring the future strength of the company while keeping the Quest brand intact.

Here we include the MAF, Quest Aircraft and Daher exhibits and the accompanying Kodiak aircraft on display. Also featured are several Kodiak aircraft flying during the second weekend of EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2019.
