EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2019: Young Eagles Flown During Tuesday Airshow

The Aero Experience continues our coverage of EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2019, sponsored by Elite Aviation, with a Thanksgiving Week look at the Young Eagles flight that took place during the Tuesday Airshow. Each year there is a recognition of the Young Eagles program, executed by volunteer pilots from the local EAA chapters nationwide, with a ceremonial Young Eagles flight during the afternoon airshow. According to the EAA, 2,188,708 Young Eagles, ages 8-17 have been flown by over 40,000 pilots as of last week. The Aero Experience has posted stories featuring Young Eagle flights given by EAA Chapters 64 and 32 in the St. Louis area along with chapters in Mount Vernon, IL and other locations around the Midwest. We thank those who volunteer their time, money and aircraft to introduce youth to aviation through a first-hand flight experience.
