EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2019: Airshows - Crowds Gather for Daily Aerial Entertainment

The Aero Experience returns to our signature year-round coverage of EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2019, sponsored by Elite Aviation, with our winter airshow series. We hope this review of the airshow performers from that magical week in July will warm your heart and get you in the mood for the return of the airshow season. We will feature pictorials of the airshow performers in the coming weeks, including a look around the grounds from our perspective. We hope that this series, along with other stories we regularly post, will transport you into the action and encourage you to have your own frequent aero experiences! 

In this first installment, we take a look around the grounds to show the crowds gathering and enjoying the airshows throughout the week. Different perspectives are featured here from various places along the crowd line, and these locations will become more familiar to you throughout our airshow coverage. The AirVenture culture, including the practice of staking out your claim by placing your folded lawn chair along the crowd line hours in advance, is plainly visible here. Tens of thousands of people from around the globe gather around the aircraft for a good viewing spot and become family for at least a few hours each day. For a little while, all is right with the world!

There is really no bad seat in the house, as they say. During our extensive airshow coverage, we will include views from along the crowd line, in the elevated photo stands and from within the crowd itself.
