EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2019: Vintage Area Introduction

The Aero Experience continues our year-round coverage of EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2019, sponsored by Elite Aviation, with a look at the Vintage Aircraft Area and a sample of the vintage aircraft we encountered around the grounds. Our "definition" of vintage aircraft may a bit more flexible than most, including aircraft originating from the earliest years of aviation to about the World War II period. Some more "modern" types found in the Vintage Area were also included. However you define them, vintage aircraft are aeronautical treasures to be enjoyed for as long as possible. Here we feature a look at the grounds with views of the first wet weekend.
