St. Louis Regional Airport Fly-In Attracts Area Warbirds

St. Louis Regional Airport held their annual Fly-In September 26. The popular event attracted a variety of aircraft, including a selection of warbirds among the general aviation aircraft shown here: Beech AT-11 Kansan, T-28 Trojan, AT-6 Texan, Navion, Luscombe T-8F, RV-6, Waco YKS-7, Magni M-16 and L-29 Delfin jet trainer.

2009 Scott AFB Airshow Display Aircraft and Canadian Snowbirds

Scott AFB held its annual airshow September 19-20, 2009. We attended the show on Saturday the 19th and was able to see the Snowbirds perform (Sunday was a rain-out). The F-4 Phantom II was a big hit, along with the Snowbirds.

American Legion Post 253 F-84F Thunderstreak Display in Festus, MO

American Legion Post 253 in Festus, MO maintains an F-84F Thunderstreak (51-9422) in Missouri Air National Guard markings on display. It is dedicated to all men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces, and the aircraft contains the name of Major Julius V. Santschi of Festus, MO. You can get photos at some angles over the fence. There are also other monuments to veterans around the building.









Missouri Commemorative Air Force Hangar at St. Charles County Airport

The Missouri Wing of the Commemorative Air Force B-25J Show Me receives maintenance during the St. Charles County Airport Open House held on August 29.  Other aircraft on display included the CAF TBM Avenger, AT-6F Texan, Stearman, Varga 2150A and T-33A static display.
