Greetings from The Aero Experience Team

Greetings!

The Aero Experience is a celebration of Midwest aviation and aerospace achievement. We invite you to join us as we explore the treasures of Midwest aviation through first-hand experiences. Our contributors take turns flying lead, and we are always looking for new destinations. Check in with The Aero Experience frequently to see where we will land today, and then go out and have your own aero experiences!

Blue skies,

Sightings: Doug Gardner's Great Lakes 2T-1A at St. Louis Downtown Airport

By Carmelo Turdo
Doug Gardner flew his Great Lakes Sport Trainer 2T-1A to St. Louis Downtown Airport recently during the EAA 64 Young Eagles rally for local Boy Scouts.  Based at local Creve Coeur Airport in St. Louis County, the aircraft is a favorite at fly-ins.  After a brief stopover, the Sport Trainer was quickly in the air - the 200hp Ranger engine giving the aircraft crisp performance.  We hope to see Doug and his Great Lakes more this summer, perhaps at the Waco Club Fly-In June 7-10.  Here are some views of Doug and the aircraft:
