The Aero Experience is a celebration of Midwest aviation and aerospace achievement. We invite you to join us as we explore the treasures of Midwest aviation through first-hand experiences. Our contributors take turns flying lead, and we are always looking for new destinations. Check in with The Aero Experience frequently to see where we will land today, and then go out and have your own aero experiences!

Scott AFB Airshow: A Look Back On a Fun Weekend
By Carmelo Turdo
The "Airpower Over the Midwest" airshow at Scott AFB is over, but it was a great Midwestern aviation event. This airshow has a unique flavor, as it features aircraft already at the base - C-21, C-40C and KC-135R - as part of the aerial activity. Other performers included The U.S.A.F. Thunderbirds, Herb and Ditto, Tim Weber, Ace Maker T-33, RV-3 Vanguard Squadron and Tuskegee Airmen AT-6G Texan. Exhibitors inside the hangar included the Greater St. Louis Air & Space Museum, Civil Air Patrol, Soaring Society of America, St. Louis Rocketry Association, and NASA. Here are some more views from Sunday's show:
