Piston Aviation Hosts Spring Discovery Flight Day at Creve Coeur Airport

Piston Aviation hosted their Spring Discovery Flight Day at Creve Coeur Airport Sunday. The day started out with light rain, but that stopped in time for the flights to begin as scheduled. Each Discovery Flight included a pre-flight inspection, pilot briefing, and the opportunity to get actual student flight experience with a Piston Aviation CFI. Piston Aviation gave 25 Discovery Flights using two Viper LSAs, two Piper Cherokees and the Cessna 172 fleet aircraft. Each guest was given personal attention and provided with practical steps with which to begin their flight training at Piston Aviation.

Piston Aviation continues to spread their love of aviation through a variety of pilot training programs covering Sport Pilot, Private Pilot, Instrument Rating, Commercial Pilot, CFI/CFII and multi-engine rating. They offer block time rates and several special training packages designed to save the students time and money throughout the learning process. 

Piston Aviation has also launched a new live, on-line, subscription ground school that now covers the Private Pilot curriculum. Piston Live, as it is now known, offers a wide range of classes to prepare students for their written exam. Piston Live is also a cost-effective way to gain an understanding of critical aviation concepts for youth preparing for future flight training and for anyone who flies as a passenger in general aviation aircraft.

As the name implies, Piston Live is more than a collection of video courses recycled year after year. Each session is led by a Piston Aviation Certified Flight Instructor, in real time, providing a truly interactive experience for each attendee. The courses are available on a rotating basis, and they can be taken in order as shown in the Student Dashboard or according to the topic of interest. The Live Course Calendar lists current availability for each day, and pre-registration is not required.
