EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2019: Warbirds - U.S. Jet Trainers

The Aero Experience continues our coverage of EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2019, sponsored by Elite Aviation, with this look at U.S. military jet trainers now operated by civilian owners. These classic jets are familiar to our coverage of EAA AirVenture Oshkosh over the years, and include: T-37C Dragonfly (Tweet) in the livery of an A-37 of the South Vietnamese Air Force; several representatives of the Lockheed T-33 Shooting Star (T-Bird) and license-built Canadair Silver Star; and the North American Rockwell T-2B Buckeye naval aviation trainer. The aircraft seen here were on display in the Warbirds Area flight line or Warbirds in Review and flew in the airshows during the week.

EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2019: Airshows - Buckeye and Goshawk Legacy Flight

The Aero Experience continues our coverage of EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2019, sponsored by Elite Aviation, with a look at the Legacy Flights conducted during the daily airshows. The Legacy Flight, similar to the USAF Heritage Flight, pairs civilian-owned and operated warbirds with current military tactical aircraft for appearances at airshows around the country. This week, we will include four different combinations of Legacy Flight formations, continuing with this selection from Saturday's airshow featuring the T-2B Buckeye with two U.S. Navy T-45C Goshawks from NAS Meridian, MS.
