EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2016: Boeing Centennial Plaza - WomenVenture

Fred Harl and Carmelo Turdo
http://www.airassociatesmo.com/tae/Boeing Centennial Plaza is more than just an aircraft static display area - it is also a convenient place for group arrivals and guest speaker events.  On Wednesday, it was the backdrop for the arrival of the Alaska Airlines Boeing 737-990ER in Boeing Centennial livery and in service only several weeks prior to arrival.  In celebration of WomenVenture activities, the jet arrived with an all-women crew and passengers and was the center of attention for the day.

Earlier in the week, Jessica Cox made a special guest appearance in Boeing Centennial Plaza with her Ercoupe aircraft.  Born without arms, she has learned to do everything with her feet, including attaining a Black Belt in Taekwondo, earning a degree in Psychology and becoming a licensed pilot.  Crowds gather wherever she appears during the week, and we were able to catch up with her during her Monday presentation.
