The Aero Experience continues our coverage of EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2019, sponsored by Elite Aviation, with this look at World War II-era primary and basic trainers. These aircraft were parked in the Warbirds Area and flying throughout the week. Here we feature the Boeing Stearman Kaydet family of primary trainers, the Fairchild PT-19 and PT-23 primary trainers and the Vultee BT-13 Valiant basic trainer. These aircraft would be used by cadets prior to graduating to the advanced AT-6/SNJ Texan trainers to be featured in the next edition.
