The Aero Experience continues our coverage of EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2023, sponsored by Piston Aviation, with this selection of aerospace industry exhibitors we visited during our ten days on the grounds. Here we focus on the building blocks of modern aircraft - powerplants, avionics, float kits and parts distributers. These exhibits often feature aircraft that use the sponsor's products, and these displays can get very elaborate. The product brand is not always evident from a distance!

EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2016: Exhibitors - Floats!

Turning a land-based airplane into a seaplane is readily possible for many aircraft types, and two companies who provide the equipment and know-how to make that possible were exhibitors at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2016.  Both PK Floats and Wipaire, Inc. produce float equipment (and also skis and other components) for factory-built and experimental aircraft as described by each company.  The company exhibits featured examples of aircraft fitted with floats (with wheels attached for amphibious operations) including the impressively equipped Cessna Caravan.
