Greetings from The Aero Experience Team

The Aero Experience is a celebration of Midwest aviation and aerospace achievement. We invite you to join us as we explore the treasures of Midwest aviation through first-hand experiences. Our contributors take turns flying lead, and we are always looking for new destinations. Check in with The Aero Experience frequently to see where we will land today, and then go out and have your own aero experiences!

EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2014: Formations!

Fred Harl and Carmelo Turdo the days of EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2014, various formations could be seen as they crisscrossed the skies.  Large groups of like-type aircraft, such as AT-6 Texans and Yaks, flew in the mornings and other formations, such as the mixed 1950s jets, flew during the afternoon airshows.  These grand displays were the result of accumulated years of dedicated experience and practice sessions prior to opening day.  The Aero Experience salutes the pilots, mechanics, controllers and EAA volunteers for making these formation flights safe and enjoyable.
