Sparta, IL Community Airport Fly-In 2018: General Aviation Aircraft

The Sparta, IL Community Airport 2018 Fly Fest, hosted by Sparta Aero on September 15, was a great success again this year. A large number of general aviation aircraft, along with the rotorcraft featured in the previous post, were flown in and their pilots enjoyed the company of other aviators and visitors throughout the day. EAA Young Eagle and local familiarization flights were given in a variety of aircraft to encourage anyone at the airport to experience flying and consider flight training. Along with the typical general aviation aircraft types were examples of experimental, vintage and warbird aircraft as well. We hope you enjoy this survey of the aircraft and other exhibits we saw during the event.
