It's
not everyday that The Aero Experience team claims a Bigfoot sighting, but once
a year we find the Screamin' Sasquatch. Produced by John Klatt Airshows and sponsored by Jack Links Beef Jerky,
the Screamin' Sasquatch began as a 1929 Waco Taperwing and has become the only
jet Waco currently on the airshow circuit. The Waco has a GE J85 jet engine slung below the fuselage and the
P&W 985 Wasp Junior radial engine in the nose. It carries both 100LL and
jet fuel on board. Retired USAF fighter pilot John Klatt demonstrated the jet Waco's ability climb straight up
and make tight turns under piston and jet power. Here are some views of the Screamin' Sasquatch during the Tuesday airshow.
