The Aero Experience met up with KC today as he prepared to take his first flight in the Bristell 912 ULS with Flight Operations Director Phil Pennell. Here we begin with the pre-flight inspection, taxi out and takeoff from Creve Coeur Airport. Following the local flight and several trips around the pattern, a weather front was approaching and it was time to head for the fuel pump. Since the Rotax engine was designed to run on unleaded fuel, an additive is required to reduce lead deposits after refueling with 100LL avgas. After topping off the tanks, the Bristell and her crew returned to the Piston Aviation hangar.
