On Thursday before the event, the Plane Clean crew arrived in the afternoon to begin cleaning and detailing the LSA fleet - two Bristells and the new TomarkAero Viper. These aircraft, the busiest of the fleet, were given a waterless exterior and full interior service for all surfaces, including a carpet steam clean and touchscreen protectant to reduce smearing. The work continued into the evening inside the hangar before the crew returned for day two.
On Friday, the Plane Clean crew returned to retouch the LSAs after their day of flying and began the water wash on the two Piper Cherokees and Beech Musketeer. All six of these aircraft would be used for Discovery Flights on Saturday. Here we show the first Cherokee wash as the winter sun set before the others were washed as well. The crew arrived early on Saturday to finish some exterior detailing before the event began.
