EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2019: Airshows - Rocky Mountain Renegades

The Aero Experience continues with our year-round coverage of EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2019, sponsored by Elite Aviation, with another edition of our airshow series. Here we feature the Rocky Mountain Renegades flying six experimental Vans RV and Giles aircraft in various formations. Based in Colorado, the Rocky Mountain Renegades bring their precision formation aerobatic flying to airshows and events around the country. These aviators have extensive military and airline experience, and they share their love of aviation by demonstrating the joy of flying experimental aircraft. We feature the Rocky Mountain Renegades below flying in the Monday Airshow.

EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2018: Experimental Aircraft, Part 1

By Fred Harl

The Aero Experience continues our coverage of EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2018 with a look at experimental (amateur built) aircraft seen during the week. There were various designs, offering choices of construction materials and powerplants. Some resemble vintage types, while others have a modern look. We hope you enjoy this survey of experimental aircraft, including a look at the AirVenture Cup Race contestants and a variety of designs, and come back again as we move on to more coverage very soon.
