Greater St. Louis Air & Space Museum and EAA 64 Prepare for Saturday Open House/Fly-In

By Carmelo Turdo
The Greater St. Louis Air & Space Museum and EAA Chapter 64 have spent the week preparing for Saturday's Open House/Fly-In, and are ready for visitors and pilots who may normally not fly to St. Louis Downtown Airport (KCPS).  Arrive early for the pancake breakfast, and stay on for barbeque lunch.  Guests at the event will witness a variety of aircraft on the ramp, including a DC-3, C-1 Trader, and visiting aircraft of all types.  Fly-in pilots will receive ramp parking and a $.25/gal fuel discount from Ideal Aviation FBO.  The museum will display some of its aircraft on the ramp between hangars, including a beautiful BD-5, three sailplanes, a Curtiss Jenny reproduction trainer and child flight simulator.  Activities available include getting your picture taken in an F-4 Phantom II fighter jet cockpit and taking a ride in a 1941 Waco biplane.  See you there!
